Bob in his natural state: ready to write, fix clocks, crash an RC plane, or sneak cookies with Brady the boxer.

About the Author

Bob Williams

Bob writes at the intersection of faith, satire, and everyday chaos. A retired healthcare executive turned storyteller.

When he isn’t writing, you’ll likely find him restoring antique clocks, flying RC airplanes (and occasionally crashing them), or sharing plain yogurt with Brady, his loyal (and spoiled) boxer who insists on his rightful spot in the family bed.

Behind every cookie tin, broken clock, or sputtering RC plane, Bob has found a lesson worth saving — usually wrapped in humor, often sprinkled with chaos, and always pointing back to faith. That thread runs through his stories: sometimes absurd, sometimes sharp-edged, but always aimed at hope.

Adam knew how to win ribbons … and steal cookies. Discipline and delight in one sturdy package.”

Adam, with his handler, Dannie. Adam, older than Brady, was the best show boxer we ever had from our own breeding line. We had many winners during our 25 years of showing boxers, but Adam was special. He took several first-place and winner's awards and was invited and placed high at the Westminster Kennel Club’s show in New York.

We Love Our Boxers

Life lessons (and comic relief) came from the boxers we raised and loved.”

“Chaos in a basket: proof that grace can wag its tail and chew your slippers.”

One of our beautiful litters. This group is from our champion, Miss Callie. Aren’t they sitting pretty waiting for their picture? I was lucky! My camera attracted them just long enough…and no, we didn’t pose them like this!

THE CLOCK OF LIFE

The Clock of Life is wound but once

And no one hath the power

To tell just when the hands will stop

At late or early hour

Now is the only time we own

Live, Love, and Toil with Will

Place no faith in tomorrow, for

The clock may then be still

“The poem that keeps me grounded … a reminder that time winds down, so grace and humor must show up now.”

Antique Clocks

It was Grandma Walker’s fault…my love and passion for antique clocks.

She had an old “schoolhouse” clock hanging above her roller washing machine. It drew my 9th-grade attention. Eventually, I inherited that clock.

Got it restored and running…and that’s what  propelled me on my journey of collecting, restoring, and repairing “previously loved clocks.”

I still find this a passion, especially for old heirloom clocks that have been passed down through families.

My Grandma’s Gilbert schoolhouse clock

“The clock that started it all. Some people inherit wealth … I inherited gears, patience, and the urge to keep time honest.”

“Airplanes were made to fly, not crash in the water, but sometimes faith calls for a rescue mission!”

My RC Airplanes

“Holding onto hope … every flight’s an adventure, every landing a lesson.”

Flying RC planes keeps me grounded in patience, precision, and the occasional gravity test, which is actually a crash landing.

“I write because the world doesn’t need more noise. It needs truth wrapped in humor, faith served with grace, and a reminder that hope still shows up on time — even if my clocks don’t.” — Bob Williams

“My Cessna 150 … fewer FAA regulations, but just as opinionated about landings.”
